Na 32 jaar in de Tilburgse restaurantwereld gezeten te hebben besloten we weer terug te keren naar het geboorte-eiland van Marcel.
We kwamen er natuurlijk bijna jaarlijks al tijdens de vakanties maar nu wilden we toch echt de hectiek van het Europese Nederlandse verruilen voor het meer relaxte en ontspannende Caribische Nederlandse.
We wilden het gewoon wat rustiger gaan doen, soms lukt dat en soms ook weer niet.

We hebben bewust niet voor een B&B gekozen omdat we dan toch weer op uur en tijd alles moesten regelen én Sjaak is nog steeds geen ochtendmens. Nee, we hebben gekozen voor stijlvolle, een beetje luxere appartementen met een volledig ingerichte keuken zodat onze gasten zelf een ontbijtje kunnen klaarmaken op het tijdstip dat zij prettig vinden.
Na een korte zoektocht hebben we deze villa gekozen omdat hij lekker centraal midden op het eiland ligt; je bent nooit ergens ver vandaan. 5 minuutjes van de luchthaven, 10 minuutjes van de historische binnenstad maar ook de rustige authentieke baaitjes en strandjes liggen op korte afstand. Wil je naar het drukke toeristische uitgaansleven dan ben je daar ook in 15-20 minuutjes. Hier zit je lekker in alle rust maar zoals gezegd toch overal lekker dichtbij.
